A comedy in two acts.  3 M / 4 F

Shep and Narissa became best friends when their boyfriends left them on the same day... for each other.  But that was all twenty months ago, and everybody's moved on with their respective lives.  Then, an unexpected call from Narissa's ex, Owen, throws them all together again.

After being given information that makes him consider his mortality, Shep reconnects with his ex, Chris, who's busy fighting dual battles with cancer and his mother, Dorothy Jean, who arrives from Mississippi bearing cookies and judgment.

The technician from Shep’s sperm bank, who may or may not be a psychologist, hires Narissa as a personal trainer, but their training sessions quickly give way to therapy. Meanwhile, Owen faces surprising news from his past.  Add into the mix a lesbian pot dealer on a mission from God, a larger-than-life drag queen named Ruby Red, and a round of cocktails for everyone involved, and you've got the story of seven people chasing unlikely dreams in fabulous style.

"The play buzzes along on the energy of Payne's crackling dialogue and loopy characterizations...This playwright seems wise beyond his years."

- Wendell Brock, Atlanta Journal Constitution

Able to capture the complexities of human relationships in a nutshell, with the mood shifting from hilarity to tragedy to a sharp insightfulness that lingers long after the show is over. Payne has proven to be a rare young talent that should be supported by fellow Atlantans."
