A Comedy in Two Acts.  3 M / 4 F

Smith Reynolds, orphaned heir to the RJ Reynolds tobacco fortune, picked up an unexpected souvenir on a trip to New York:  a wife.  The new Mrs. Reynolds is the famous jazz singer and Broadway actress Libby Holman- notoriously bisexual, a drinker, a flapper, and a Jew.

Smith's Aunt Kate is convinced Libby is only in it for the money, and her nephew is blinded by her glamour.  Kate issues an ultimatum:  Spend one married year at the family estate in North Carolina, or she'll cut him off without a cent.  Smith and Libby, left with no other option, head for Winston-Salem, with Libby's acting coach in tow.

After a month, the newlyweds decide to throw a party- a very swell party- to celebrate the Fourth of July.  By the next morning, Smith is dead.  The gates are closed, and the police are shut out in favor of Aunt Kate's own inquest to determine what happened that night at Reynolda.

The two Mrs. Reynolds are about to meet their match.
